Ohio State Senator Theresa Gavarone (R-02) has a lot of goals for her district over the next five years: "I've got a bill that's going to help kids be safe when they're going to and from school... I have another piece of legislation that's going to help people save for a first time home purchase."

She counts Ohio Chancellor of Higher Education Randy Gardner as one of her mentors, and someone who inspired her to run for office.

Gavarone's very first job? She was a pizza maker: "I can make like 13 pizzas in five minutes. It's a skill not many legislators have."
