Texas is surrounded by a vibrant Black culture year-round. That includes the creations of 15 Black male artists that came together in the Non-Monolith Group Art Exhibit. The show took place in the Alamo City recently. Participating artists came from different walks of life. One of them, Alexander McBeth, used coffee and watercolors to capture the untold stories of black hockey players.

Black independent filmmakers are also using their creativity and skills to produce works of art. And while their numbers in Texas are small but growing, their work helps elevate voices and foster cross-cultural appreciation. Our next guest, Texan film director & journalist Charlotte Moore, knows this well.
