Ohio's midterm elections are wrapped up and the lame duck session has begun.
Ohio Statehouse reporter Anna Staver joined In Focus host, Mike Kallmeyer, to discuss the results of the election and how Ohioans could be impacted moving forward.
"It was a bit of a red tidal wave here," Staver said. However, Staver and Kallmeyer also discussed the success Ohio Democrats had among the U.S. Congressional races.
When it comes to the U.S. Senate race, Staver pointed out the impact Gov. Mike DeWine may have had on U.S. Senator-Elect JD Vance's win.
"If you noticed on election night JD Vance, when he won, one of the very first people he thanked was Governor Mike DeWine. There's this down ticket effect," she said.
Staver also looked ahead to the next General Assembly session and what the Republican supermajority will mean for both parties.
