Bob Paduchik, chairperson of the Ohio Republican Party, discussed with Miek Kallmeyer what is important to Republicans in November’s general election.
Paduchik described that the current political climate offers a positive outlook for the success of Republican candidates in the election, and addressed recent polling information, noting that he thinks the more accurate information that comes from polls has to do with key issues that Ohioans care about rather than horserace information.
He also addressed a common question among Ohioans: Will there be a debate between Gov. Mike DeWine and former Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley, and JD Vance and Tim Ryan?
“I think voters are more interested in having a chance to talk to candidates than they are in watching a debate,” he said.
Paduchik also discussed the role former President Donald Trump plays in both the Republican and Democratic campaigns.
