Mike sits down with Cleveland City Councilwoman Jasmin Santana, who represents the city’s 14th Ward, on its southwest side. She founded the SEEDS Program in Cleveland, which stands for Support, Engage, Empower, Develop and Sustain.
"SEEDS started after a tabletop discussion with three different generations," Santana said. “Despite the age difference, we realized we have a lot of experiences and challenges in common — our trauma, our fears, our doubts, our insecurities — but, also there are similar ways where we were able to overcome these obstacles. So, I'm a testament of mentorship and support and opportunity that helped me get to a place where I am now."
