As summer begins to wind down, millions of Ohio students are heading back to school or are already bustling through the hallways. Some kids will walk to school and others will ride the bus, but both options come with a risk. The Ohio School Boards Association Senior Transportation Consultant, Pete Japikse says the school bus is the safest place for a child. Japikse wants to remind parents to keep kids 10 feet away from the school bus at the bus stop for safety reasons. Japikse adds almost 1,000 cars per day blow by a school bus.
