LANCASTER, Ohio — The Ohio Glass Museum & Glass Blowing Studio is working to preserve our glass history through art, education, and exhibition. The museum was established in 2002 to share the history and importance of the glassmaking industry in Lancaster and Fairfield County.

Ohio has an abundant supply of natural gas and sandstone, two of the crucial elements for producing glass. As a result, Ohio has been home to numerous glassmaking companies.

Visitors to the museum can also watch glass-blowing demonstrations and take a glass-blowing class on-site. Teresa Sharp is the Studio Manager. She’s been a glass artist for 35 years.

The Ohio Glass Museum & Glass Blowing Studio is located at 124 W. Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio, 43130. It is open Tuesday through Sunday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
