Sharon Tazewell joined the Spectrum News team in July 2020, today she’s an anchor with Spectrum News+. She is inspired to tell compelling stories that are catalysts for positive change.

Sharon has reported from the Red Carpet for the Tony Awards and interviewed Ellen, hosts from The Talk, and Extra, and she even acted in a cameo on The Young & the Restless. One of Sharon’s favorite stories was when she profiled Make-A-Wish children and raised millions of airline miles and thousands of dollars for children to travel to their "wish," including a boy whose face was mauled off by a dog.  

You may recognize Sharon from when she anchored in North Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, or Illinois. She is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She truly believes everyone has a story and she can't wait to tell yours.
