Kimberly Perez joined the Spectrum News 1 Ohio team in September 2023.

A native of Los Angeles, Kimberly earned her bachelor’s degree at California State University, Northridge in Journalism. She recently made her way out to the Midwest where she can now enjoy all four seasons.

Before joining the Spectrum News team, she worked as an assignment editor and digital producer at KABC Channel 7, Eyewitness News and KNBC/Telemundo. In 2020, she worked as a field producer with Good Morning America, producing content and generating stories for a national audience.

She has covered numerous top stories including the Kobe Bryant helicopter crash, the Nipsey Hussle murder, the Pulse Nightclub shooting, and several California wildfires.

Kimberly loves a good road trip, is an avid reader, and loves urban hiking. She's crazy about dogs of any size and breed.
