Harri Leigh is a multimedia journalist with the Spectrum News Washington, D.C. bureau, covering the federal government and Congress, with a focus on Ohio’s delegation of elected officials. Her passion for journalism is rooted in its potential to amplify the voices of the marginalized and hold those in power accountable.

Harri holds a B.A. in International Relations from Tulane University and an M.S. in Journalism Innovation from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. Prior to her current role, she served as a senior political reporter at WPMT in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and before that, worked at WLVT in the Philadelphia suburbs and WLUC in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Harri always goes the extra mile to find the untold story, including embedding with a Pennsylvania militia group and even kayaking alongside the governor of Michigan.

Beyond her journalistic pursuits, Harri is an enthusiastic traveler and scuba diver, two passions which have taken her to the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans, as well as the Red Sea and Lake Superior. She’s also fluent in Italian.
