Weather Alerts
This week's impactful storm is now in Canada leaving behind windy conditions across the Northeast to end the week with wind alerts in effect through Friday.
As one storm exits to the east, the next takes shape across the west with heavy rain and accumulating snow in the Rockies from Wednesday through Friday morning. This system will bring more snow into parts of the Plains and Midwest to end the week.
Winds caused by the western system will lead to an elevated threat of fires in parts of Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. Additionally, Red Flag Warnings are in effect Thursday in Central Florida.

High Temperatures Today
Mild air remains in place across the Plains and Northeast. Cool and breezy weather is in place in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast behind Wednesday's front.

Low Temperatures Tonight
Cooler than average tonight in the Southeast with lows in the 30s and 40s. Elsewhere, much of the country will experience warmer-than-average weather, especially in the Plains.
Precipitation Outlook
Rain and snow will continue in the Northeast as our system departs. Heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Maine.
Our next system will bring heavy snowfall to the Mountain West where 10-20" of snow is possible through Friday. Rain is expected in the valleys of this region.
Additionally, moderate snow is possible in parts of the Central Plains tonight into Friday.
