CLEVELAND — After being named an All-Star for the Eastern Conference, Donovan Mitchell has been named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 5 - Feb. 11.
This is the first time Mitchell has won this award this season and the sixth of his career. He has now won the award for a third time as a member of the Cavaliers.
Mitchell led the Cavaliers to a 4-0 record this past week, averaging 27.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.0 assist, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 33.0 minutes per game He has scored 25 points or more in three of Cleveland’s four games.
On the season, Mitchell is averaging a team-best 28.2 points (fifth-best in NBA), a career-high 5.4 rebounds and a career-high 6.3 assists per game.
Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Dončić won Player of the Week accolades for the Western Conference.
