LOS ANGELES — Topping the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Top 10 hate crime incident list is Ye, formerly Kanye West, whose wide-reaching antisemitic remarks made waves on social media this year.
The list is meant to ring the alarm and raise awareness of the global rise of antisemitic hate incidents around the world.
Rabbi Abraham Cooper said the list also brings attention to the ways in which social media has helped usher in a “mainstreaming” of antisemitic hate incidents.
Rabbi Muskin of the Young Israel of Century City synagogue, which was the victim of a vandalism attack in 2021, said there is growing concern among the congregation.
