Buffalo's Broadway Market is preparing for its busiest season of the year and will host a sneak peek of its Easter offerings this weekend.

You can check out local producers selling traditional treats and other Easter items before the holiday crowds arrive.

Shoppers have an early opportunity to explore dozens of vendors offering traditional Easter favorites, unique gifts and holiday essentials.

Thousands of people typically visit the 137-year-old market ahead of Easter to pick up everything from pierogi to butter lambs.

"This is a great opportunity for everyone to get a jump on their Easter season shopping, or simply enjoy some of the food or explore some of the vendors at Buffalo's biggest public market," Acting Buffalo Mayor Chris Scanlon said.

Sneak peek weekend runs from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
