Ongoing winter weather is impacting southern Ohio early this morning, with sleet and freezing rain mixing in with some snow leading to some slick spots on the roads this morning.

Northern Ohio is dry for now, but that will change later today.

For most of the state this will primarily be a rain event, especially south of I-70, but particularly for Northwest Ohio, we're looking at an especially messy forecast beginning this afternoon.

Much of Northwest Ohio is looking at 2-4 inches inches of snow through the overnight hours.

In addition to snow, sleet and freezing rain will lead to significant icing concerns through the evening commute into tonight.

Ice storm warnings have been issued for the Toledo area.

Northeast Ohio could also be impacted with some slick spots for the evening commute, but this will quickly change over into a cold rain tonight.
