CLEVELAND — The third annual CLE Inspires Week will be Aug. 25 through Sept. 1 this year, the Cleveland Guardians have announced.

“The week-long celebration focuses on sharing the Cleveland Guardians community efforts, spotlighting Guardians beneficiaries, and fundraising for Cleveland Guardians Charities (CGC),” a team press release reads.

The team says that the sixth annual Cleveland Guardians Charities Giveathon will highlight the week. Also featured during this week will be the Cleveland Guardians Charities 2024 Golf Outing, RBI Celebration Game and an online auction.

The Giveathon broadcast takes place at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 27, and the first 300 people who donate $100 or more are eligible for a signed baseball from a Guardians team member/coach. CC Sabathia-signed bobbleheads will also be for sale at Progressive Field that night, in addition to $50 “Mystery Balls.”

The release states that all proceeds will go to the CGC and their beneficiaries, including:

  • Cleveland Guardians Nike RBI Program
  • CMSD Baseball & Softball
  • PlayBall CLE!
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (BGCNEO)

“The Guardians will donate $100,000 to BGCNEO as our 2024 grant to the clubs to aid in making up for lost federal funding,” the release reads.
