Rochester Regional Health celebrated a brand refresh on Wednesday afternoon with the promise to provide strong health care through teamwork.
Chelsea Autovino is the face of the hospital's new campaign: “We’re Here for It.”
The mom of two was diagnosed with stomach cancer when she was 17-weeks pregnant with her second child. After giving birth, she learned the cancer had spread to her right ovary. Multiple surgeries later, she lives without a stomach and is two and a half years cancer-free. It's something she credits deeply to the multi-faceted health care approach her dozens of doctors worked on together.
“I’m not alone," Autovino said. "I have that support team. That they’re not family, but they’re there to show that we’re here for you. And that just makes me keep fighting, you know? If I get it again, I’ll keep fighting for it because I have that support team from the inside and the outside.”
“Chelsea is a special person, and this is a special case," said Dr. Rachel David, medical oncologist and hematologist at the Lipson Cancer Center. "But unfortunately, there are a lot of patients, you know, just like her out there and we’re used to working together. That’s what we do.
“We got her. We got her baby through this. We got her entire family through this. And I’m really proud of that.”
RRH says the new campaign aims to partner, educate, employ, connect and heal the community at any of their 500 locations throughout the region.
