Ohio has seen significant job creation, innovation and investments over the past few years. Intel has been of the state’s top investors. Biden visited the site at its groundbreaking in 2022.

Intel has committed $3 billion to the new site in central Ohio and will create about 3,000 new jobs. Construction of the site from start to finish will employ at least 7,000 people. Approximately 92% of the construction workers on-site are Ohioans.

In Biden’s State of the Union, he outlined the importance of bringing opportunity back to the states.

“Instead of importing, importing foreign products and exporting American jobs, we’re exporting American products and creating American jobs, right here in America where they belong,” he said.

As for the Intel project, the first of around two dozen super loads is making its way to Licking County this weekend. It is transporting equipment associated with the future intel semiconductor facilities.

Along with Intel, Ohio has seen record investments from big name companies like Google, Amazon, Honda and LG.
