OHIO — Gov. Mike DeWine has formed a Ohio Juvenile Justice Working Group tasked with examining the state of juvenile justice and corrections in Ohio.

Tom Stickrath, former director of both the Ohio Department of Youth Services and the Ohio Department of Public Safety, will chair the group.

DeWine has assigned the group to undergo a review of the juvenile justice operations in Ohio. After reviewing, the group will provide recommendations on how the department can provide better help to citizens. 

The group will also include:

  • Anthony Capizzi: Retired juvenile court judge of Montgomery County

  • Gabriella Celeste: Policy director of Schubert Center for Child Studies

  • Melissa Day: Juvenile division chief of Stark County Prosecutor’s Office 

  • Judge Amy Lewis: Juvenile court judge of Greene County

  • Judge David Stucki: Retired court judge of Stark County

The Ohio General Assembly will be advisers to the group.
