The Ohio State football game against Purdue is only being streamed on Peacock, which is frustrating long-time fans such as June Inlow.
Inlow has been an Ohio State fan her whole life. She said that she bleeds Scarlet and Gray. Inlow explained that she usually watches the game from the comfort of her own couch.
“I watch it on TV and then if I can’t watch it at home for some reason, I have some other activity, then I record it,” she said.
Although, this Saturday’s game will look different for them. She explained that she plans on going to a bar to watch the game or finding a friend who has subscribed to Peacock.
“It’s too many steps to see a game and plus they didn’t really say anything on the schedules before to give you a chance to be able to get prepared to watch the game,” she said.
Ohio State fans are not the only ones who have been affected by the change. Market Garden Brewery is a popular Cleveland spot where people watch football. Heather Wilde who works for Market Garden Brewery said they usually do a good amount of business for all football games, but they won’t have the Ohio State game this weekend.
“We will have a handful of people coming in a little upset about the game, I think at this point a lot of people are used to it,” she said.
Wilde explained they will still have a busy afternoon, but hopes moving forward they can be provided with more notice of when the game will not be on TV.
“It’s just hard every once and a while when they like spring it on us and we don’t know that we’re not going to be able to carry it,” she said.
