OHIO — Data from the National Center for Health Statistics shows in recent months the U.S. is no longer reporting significantly higher than average weekly deaths. During the height of the pandemic, such as Jan. 2021, there were some weeks seeing excess rates as high as 46%.

Spectrum News was joined by Dr. Mark Cameron, an associate professor at Case Western Reserve University's Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences, to discuss these rates.
