COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Division of Police said one of two 5-month-old twins abducted Monday evening was found early Tuesday morning at Dayton International Airport.
Police sent a statewide Amber alert hours earlier after Kyair and Kason Thomas had been left inside a running car around 9:45 p.m. on Monday. Their mother walked into the Donatos Pizza at E. 1st Avenue and North High Street, but said once she turned around after entering the store her four-door 2010 Honda Accord was gone, along with the boys.
Police did not say which of the children was recovered from the airport, but that circumstances surrounding the recovery are being investigated.
"Authorities around Dayton are currently canvassing the area for the vehicle and other child," according to a release from police.
Police said the car in question has a missing front bumper, a torn temporary Ohio Registration tag on the rear bumper and a white bumper sticker on the rear which says "Westside City Toys."
Police have named Nalah Jackson as a person of interest in the kidnapping. Those who have information on her whereabouts are asked to call the Special Victims Bureau tip line at 614-645-4266 reference #220924163.
