CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Zoo’s family friendly event, “HallZOOween," will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. through the end of October.

The fall festivities at HallZOOween include trick or treat stations and photo opportunities. The zoo asks families to bring their own trick or treat bags.

There will also be Hogwarts Express train rides, carousel rides and Phil Dalton’s Theater of Illusion shows. Classic fall-themed foods such as caramel apples, pumpkin lattes and caramel corn will be available.

HallZOOween is free with zoo admission, but some activities such as the train and carousel rides have additional charges.

The animals at the zoo are given pumpkins and Halloween themed enrichment.

There are three Fiona statues hidden throughout the Zoo which will be in costume. Fiona is a real hippopotamus at the Cincinnati zoo who gained international recognition for being the smallest hippo to ever survive after being born prematurely.

Children are encouraged to wear a costume, but it is not required. Adults may wear costumes as well, but the zoo requests them to be family friendly. Costume guidelines can be found here.
