BOARDMAN, Ohio — The National Weather Service confirmed Monday that a tornado touched down Sunday night in Boardman.
The tornado touched down just east of the Southern Park Mall based on video evidence of a funnel taken from the mall and aerial drone images of the damage according to NWS.
Just east of California Avenue a telephone pole was slightly bent to the north. The tornado ripped an awning off the front of a small strip mall building and caused minor tree limb damage and blew a wooden fence down.
The tornado lasted less than one minue and moved 125-yards.
No injuries or fatalities were reported.
