DUBLIN, Ohio — Citing this weekend’s expected winter blast, the City of Dublin has canceled Saturday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, but said the celebration will go on.
The city also announced the Dublin Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast at Sells Middle School has been canceled due to winter weather.
“The health and safety of this community and our parade participants is the City’s top priority,” said City of Dublin director of community events Alison LeRoy. “Although we will miss gathering for the much-anticipated return of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, we are looking forward to hosting a community celebration on St. Patrick’s Day.”
In lieu of Saturday’s parade, city officials are encouraging the public to attend the St. Patrick’s Day Family Celebration on March 17 from 4:30-7 p.m. The city said additional details on the event will be forthcoming.
While this year’s parade is off, the city is encouraging the public to attend other gatherings within the city:
The St. Patrick’s Day Festival at Fadó Pub & Kitchen will continue as planned. The tented event takes place from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday on Longshore Street in Bridge Park. Tickets are $20 per person. Enjoy live Irish music, good eats and great drinks.

In addition to dedicating Dublin’s world-renowned landmark, Riverside Crossing Park will officially open, which marks Dublin’s 64th park.
It’s the final weekend for the Riverside Crossing Park ice rink. The 3,200-square-foot temporary ice rink is situated at 6635 Riverside Dr. in the lower plaza on the east side of The Dublin Link pedestrian bridge. Admission is $10 per person and skate rental is included.
The hours for the last weekend of the season are 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 11, noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 12 and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 13.
