OHIO — This holiday season, pop-up bars appear to be a hit in cities across Ohio.

What You Need To Know

  • Holiday pop-up bars are showing up in cities across Ohio

  • Some locations require reservations

  • Cleveland, Cincinnati and Columbus offer multiple options, often in downtown areas

There are converted spaces, like the VIP lounge at JACK Cleveland Casino, and complete holiday takeovers, such as the Society Lounge in Cleveland, which now goes by "Miracle on 4th."

Any iteration brings long lines and creates high demand reservation lists.

JACK Cleveland Casino opened its pop up bar, "Sleigh," for the first time this year and considers it a huge success.

“We have over 600 ornaments hanging from the ceiling and 600 feet of garland throughout the space," said Aleksandra Breault of JACK Casino. "It’s been a lot of fun to get us into the holiday spirit,” she added.

Whether you want some special treats, a festive photo or a frosty nightcap, Breault said you’re sure to find some special surprises. There are specially crafted hot and cold drinks, including, “the naughty elf” and “milk and cookies."

“We just really want them to feel festive — happy!" said Breault.

The Sleigh pop up bar at the JACK Cleveland Casino is open through Dec. 18.
