COLUMBUS, Ohio — Some of the world's favorite super heroes have touched down in the Buckeye State.
The Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes exhibit opens Nov. 26 at the Center of Science and Industry in Columbus.
“Your parents, grandparents, the little ones are going to love this exhibition,” said Frederic Bertley, COSI president and CEO.
The buzz surrounding Marvel's COSI takeover starts at the top as Bertley is a Marvel super fan.
“All the things that make us, us. Those are the Marvel characters,” he said. “Yeah, they do have a little cool super power, but aside from that, they are regular people that all of us can relate to.”
Eighty years in the making, the exhibit explores the legendary comic company's past, present and future, starting with the first Marvel comic printed in 1939. Visitors can hang out with life size characters, get an up close look at costumes worn by the stars and suit up like Iron Man.
“This exhibit is a catch-all for science and art meaning there is something for everybody,” Bertley said. “That's what COSI is all about.”
With interactive elements and insider secrets, the exhibit breaks down how the Marvel comics we know today came to be while letting people tap into their inner superhero.
Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes will be on display at COSI through May 2022.
