Ohio Treasurer of State Robert Sprague was inspired to run for office because he grew up immersed in politics and public service. When asked about his favorite part of his job, Sprague said he enjoys working in finance because, "we believe that finance matters, how you pay for things matters."
In his Know Your Electeds interview, Sprague shared why he considers the "Results Ohio" program to be his greatest accomplishment in office. He believes that it helps the state solve problems in a fiscally responsible way that protects taxpayer money.
If Sprague was not in public service, he would start his own business. He is currently reading "Free to Choose" by Milton Friedman and his first ever job was rolling tennis courts when he was 16 years old.
