EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — LA Metro has announced the return of their free service that helps get Dodger fans to and from the games called the Dodger Stadium Express.
The service is resuming Thursday for the Dodgers’ home opener against the Detroit Tigers, according to a news release. The service will operate during every Dodgers home game. Fans with tickets to the game can take the express free of charge.
This year, shuttles will begin taking fans one hour earlier than last year, with express busses beginning to take fans to the stadium two-and-a-half hours before the game starts.
Fans can board the express at the LA Union Station and the Harbor Gateway Transit Center in Gardena.
There will be a new boarding location at Union Station, operating outside Union Station West, in front of Fred Harey, next to Alameda Street. Service will continue until the end of the second inning.
Return service will run 45 minutes after the final out of the game or 20 minutes after post-game events, according to Metro.
For the Harbor Gateway Transit Center, fans can use buses on the bay nine at the Harbor Gateway Transit Center in Gardena. Fans can also board the buses operating along the Harbor (110) Freeway at Slauson, Manchester, Harbor Freeway and Rosecrans stations. Buses will operate every 30 mins and also begin two-and-a-half hours before the game.
After the game, passengers can use two stops at the ballpark, either behind center field or at the top deck.
