CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Jake Browning was named AFC Offensive Player of the week for week 13 for his performance in the Bengals overtime win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Browning, an undrafted player, was thrust into the starting lineup after Joe Burrow was ruled out for the season following a wrist injury. Browning did not disappoint in week 13, earning a win in Jacksonville on Monday Night Football. 

Making his second career start, Browning completed 32 of 37 passes, 86.5%, for 354 yards and one touchdown with zero interceptions. He led all NFL passers in Week 13 in completions, completion percentage and passing yards. His completion percentage is the highest in NFL history by a quarterback making his second career start. He also became the 10th quarterback in the Super Bowl era to pass for 350 or more yards with a completion percentage of 85 or higher. 

In overtime, Browning went four of five for 36 yards to lead Cincinnati into position for the game-winning field goal. 

Browning is the third Bengals player to be named AFC Offensive Player of the Week this season. Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase in week five and quarterback Joe Burrow in week eight.

Browning will look to build on his performance as the Bengals welcome the Colts on Sunday.
