We have had several rounds of severe weather lately, but we have not had a high level of severe weather possibility (level 4 out of 5) in a while.
Cincinnati is under that Level 4 out of 5 beginning around dinnertime and go through the late evening.
There are still some confidence issues on the timing of severe weather.
Storms may organize very quickly and have the ability to move in faster than what our models are projecting.
With this possibility, we should start to stay weather aware between 5-7 p.m. in southwest Ohio but it is very possible storms may move in two to three hours later than that.
Fast moving storms may produce damaging winds, hail, tornadoes and flash flooding.
Winds in these severe thunderstorms could have gusts up to 70 mph.
If you have outdoor plans, make sure you know where to go to get shelter quickly.
You also need a way to get alerts through the evening.
Severe weather is most likely in the tri-state area, but it is possible anywhere in the state through midnight.
Severe storms early Friday led to power outages and some wind damage in northeast Ohio so we could see more storms with wind and hail tonight while it remains very warm and humid for one more day.
Saturday will be much cooler, calmer and breezy.
Only isolated showers are possible on Saturday, mainly east.
