NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio — Students and attendees at a North College Hill High School football game were evacuated "without incident" during the match Friday night when shots were fired on nearby Bising Avenue, police confirmed.

In a press release from the City of North College Hill Police Department, they say the incident was isolated and not connected to the game at the school. They said they were able to find the vehicle involved and speak with the occupants.

“In an abundance of caution, the decision was made to cancel the remainder of the game,” the release reads. “This is an open investigation and when more details can be released to the public, we will do so.”

Last weekend, a shooting occurred in Euclid near the high school campus about an hour after the football game. That shooting had killed one teenager, 17-year-old Sincere Rowdy, and wounded four others. A 15 year old has since been arrested in connection with the shooting.
