HARDIN COUNTY, Ohio — OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital will host a Drug Take-Back Day on April 27 in an effort to help residents dispose of unwanted or expired medication.
In partnership with the Hardin County's Sheriff's Office, the Forest Police Department, Ohio Northern University and Ridgemont FFA, the following locations will take the medicine from 9 a.m. to noon:
- OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital: 75 Washington Blvd. in Kenton
- Ada: South Main Street and East College Avenue parking lot
- Forest City Building: 211 West Lima St. in Forest
- Ridgemont School: 560 West Taylor St. in Mount Victory
Residents won't have to leave their vehicles, as the locations will be set up to allow people to drive up and drop off their unwanted medication.
The following can be dropped off:
- Expired or unused prescriptions
- Over-the-counter medications
- Medication lotions and sunscreens
OhioHealth said only medication from personal homes will be accepted. Medications from a physician, dentist or veterinary offices aren't allowed for the drop off, and neither are syringes.
