AKRON, Ohio — Summit County dropped a level in the Center's for Disease Control Prevention's latest update for COVID-19 community spread.
Summit County is now reporting a Community Level Low/Green following a decrease in cases, dropping from the yellow level indicating moderate spread.
The weekly metrics from the county included a case rate per 100,000 population of 152.49, dropping from 228.65. New COVID-19 admissions per 100,000 population of 9.9 and hospital beds being used by confirmed COVID-19 patients is at 4.3%
The recommendations for county residents include: Staying up on vaccines, test if symptomatic, wearing a mask if exposed to COVID, staying home if sick and optional masking.
