CINCINNATI — For over 50 years, the Summerfair art festival has been attracting artists and buyers from across the Greater Cincinnati region, and from all over the U.S.

What You Need To Know

  • Summerfair art festival features artists from across the country

  • There are over 900 submissions each year and about 350 are featured in the art show

  • The festival is at Coney Island

  • Admission is $10 per day

This year's artists come from as far away as Arizona and Florida, said Jayne Utter, the managing director.

Utter and a team of jurors judge more than 900 submissions each year and select about 350 to be included in the art show.

"It's the cream of the crop," Utter said.

Patrons can choose everything from fine art pieces and sculptures to crafts and jewelry.

Utter says that for some visitors, it's their one trip all year to check out artwork.

“Here at Summerfair you can come and look at all the art," Utter said. "You can also purchase it and take it home and we have one of a kind pieces," Utter said.

Over 300 volunteers help make the event a success, Utter said. Proceeds from the three-day event help to fund high school, college and community art programs across the Greater Cincinnati Region.

Summerfair runs Sunday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Coney Island. Tickets can be purchased here.
