COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus City Schools said three schools will be remote Tuesday due to staffing shortages brought on by COVID-19.

The three schools are:

  • Arts Impact Middle School
  • Hilltonia Middle School
  • Wedgewood Middle School
  • Parsons Elementary School

The rest of the schools in the district will be in person, and all teachers and staff are expected to still report in person.

All athletic events or practices for the middle schools are canceled, according to the district.

Last week, Columbus City Schools had to cancel classes because of transportation issues as many staff called out. Westerville City Schools, another central Ohio district, had to release some students early Monday because of the shortages Monday. Reynoldsburg City Schools also had to pivot, altering bus routes for the week.
