CLEVELAND — Despite windy conditions Saturday in Downtown Cleveland, four dedicated vocalists from the Cleveland Carolers showed up to Public Square to spread holiday cheer.

"It brings me so much joy and I love doing it every stinking year,” said Colleen Zettler, who started the group.

What You Need To Know

  • It's the 17th holiday season the singers have brought cheer to the city

  • Colleen Zettler founded the group

  • There are more than a dozen members but they rotate performances, singing as a quartet

Zettler used to live in New York where she was a part of a group of carolers. When she moved back to Cleveland, she started the Cleveland Carolers and recruited fellow musicians.

Together, they sing classics like "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." They've been performing for 17 years all across town at places like the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and the Hopkins International airport.

There are 16 carolers but they only perform in quartets, Saturday's performance included, Zettler, Cory Isler-Manzo, Tricia Crane, and Mitch Warnbein.

They said they want to make the holidays special for families.

“These kids are here and they’re going to have this memory of being here, seeing Santa, ice-skating and then us in the background. It’s really special,” said Crane.

Despite the wind and cold, these four are dedicated to their craft and bringing happiness to others.

“I hope when everyone is done listening to us they can take some of that Christmas cheer and spread it to others as well," added Warnbein.

The Cleveland Carolers perform about 25 times each season.

You can catch them again at Public Square from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. on Dec. 18.
