OHIO — Noah Olejnik had an idea to bring people from across the world together online to do good, so naturally he reached out to his best friend, Jason Gibson, to brainstorm how they would do this.

What You Need To Know

  • Two college-aged men have found a way to bring people together online

  • They created a platform called "Inspire Unity"

  • Right now they are raising money for an animal shelter in Toledo

They built a website, called Inspire Unity, where people from across the globe can submit pictures that will go into forming a mosaic collage.

"Instead of just giving a donation, people also give a picture with their donation," Olejnik explained. "This way they can physically see what it looks like when everyone comes together.”

For their first project on the Inspire Unity platform, people are encouraged to submit their photos of their cats. The pictures will then be used to create a larger mosaic of another cat.

"So when you click around you can see the pictures that have been uploaded already,” Gibson explained.

The donations for this project go to the Fur Angels Rescue Shelter in Toledo.

"Fur Angels does not have a building yet," Olejnik said. "So a huge goal of ours is to raise enough to help fund a building for them."

So far, hundreds of people have submitted photos of their cats.

You can add to this mosaic until July 6. 2022.

After that, they plan to choose another organization to create a mosaic for and to receive donations.
