OHIO — Pfizer announced its COVID-19 vaccine trial in children ages 5 to 11 shows it's safe and effective.
The company said it will now seek emergency use authorization for that age group.
The company also noted pediatric COVID-19 cases have risen about 240% in the United States since July.
Dr. Purva Grover, head of pediatric emergency departments at Cleveland Clinic, spoke with Spectrum News about the implications of this news.
