OHIO — The fifth and final set of Vax-a-Million winners were announced Wednesday evening.
The final $1 million winner was Esperanza Diaz of Cincinnati in Butler County.
The fifth winner of a full-ride scholarship to any public university in Ohio was Sydney Daum of Brecksville in Cuyahoga County.

The lottery was a state effort to increase vaccination rates. As of Tuesday, more than 47% of the state's population has received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 43% are fully vaccinated, according to state data.
The week residents were able to enter the lottery for the first time, between May 18 and May 24, more than 168,000 first doses were distributed. The following week totaled 60,800 first doses.
As of the last week, more than 39,000 first jabs were given out.
Ohio is No. 7 in the nation for total doses administered, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
More than 3.4 million Ohioans 18 and older entered the drawing last week for the $1 million prize, and more than 150,000 residents ages 12 to 17 entered for the full-ride scholarship.
