1. Mayor Ginther: 'Did Ma'Khia Bryant have to die?' New details emerge as investigation into Columbus teen's death continues

Columbus Police identified the 16-year-old girl killed by a Columbus Division of Police officer Tuesday afternoon as Ma’Khia Bryant. The officer who fired the shots was identified as Nicholas Reardon, who has been with Columbus Police since December 2019.

2. FDA inspection found problems at factory making Johnson & Johnson vaccine

The Baltimore factory contracted to make Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine was dirty, didn’t follow proper manufacturing procedures and had poorly trained staff, resulting in contamination of material that was going to be put in the shots, U.S. regulators said Wednesday.

3. Seeing green: Pharmacy board votes to double the number of dispensaries

The Ohio Board of Pharmacy unanimously voted to increase medical marijuana dispensaries. The increase will be from 57 to 130 statewide. The reasoning for the decision is simply keeping up with demand.

4. Biden to call for police reform in speech to Congress next week, White House says

President Joe Biden will urge Congress to consider police reform and reiterate his support for the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act during his Joint Address to Congress next week, the White House press secretary said Wednesday.
