In his budget proposal in January, Governor Gavin Newsom proposed a historic expansion of California’s Film and TV tax credit program to $750 million annually.

It’s an increase of more than $400 million and an investment that Governor Newsom’s Office says won’t be impacted by the subsequent wildfires.

Many of the residents who lost their homes in the Palisades and Eaton Fires work in the entertainment industry, both in front of and behind the camera.

They’re hoping to use this tax credit; that’s the latest effort to keep TV production in California.
