Other than the very cold conditions in the Northeast, the weather remains very quiet across most of the nation. The exception will be the Pacific Northwest with the latest Pacific storm moving onshore. Rain will be likely with windy conditions near the coast. Mountain snow is likely for the same region.

 

High Temperatures Today

Phoenix and the Desert Southwest is the warm spot along with southern Florida today as high temperatures climb into the 70s. It'll be seasonably cool across the Pacific Northwest under rainy skies today.

Very cold air is firmly entrenched across and Northeast and to a lesser degree down the Eastern Seaboard. Highs will be in the 20s and 30s across the Northeast and into the Upper Midwest, the Great Lakes. The chilly air will be felt into the Southeast as well with highs in the 40s.

 

Low Temperatures Tonight

Single digit and teens will be the lows tonight across the Northeast. It will be chilly across the Gulf Coast as well. Milder lows are expected in the west with Pacific air moving eastward.

 

Precipitation Outlook

Rainy conditions will continue in the Pacific Northwest with some mountain snows. Elsewhere, the country looks dry with no major storm systems.
