An EF-0 tornado was confirmed in Worcester County, Sunday morning July 16.

The National Weather Service says the tornado went through North Brookfield, which is west of Worcester, and had a path of two miles.

Plus, the tornado had wind speeds up to 80 mph.

North Brookfield Fire Chief Joseph Holoway was an eyewitness to the tornado. He told Spectrum News he saw the twister heading northeast on from East Brookfield Road.

The North Brookfield Fire Department said most of the damage was downed trees and power lines. Watch the video below to see the damage the tornado left behind.

“There were large diameter trees, three, four footers that were pulled over by the winds. Some of them were willow trees that catch the wind anway pretty well, but they were very large trees…. It snapped quite a few tops of trees too,” said Chief Holoway.

Plus, some power outages were reported as well.

“We really lucked out,” said Holoway.

There were no injuries or damage to homes in the area.
