As his third season in Worcester comes to a close, WooSox manager Chad Tracy says the 2024 campaign was eventful but fun.

"We've had ups and downs, we've had periods in the first half [where] we were playing well and periods where we didn't play so well and now here for the better part of a month we've enjoyed like a really good stretch of playing really quality baseball in all three phases. So that's kind of how it goes," Tracy said.

"Things fluctuate here based on your roster. You lose key pieces of your team and you might suffer a little bit but you just forge forward and we've had young kids that have come up now and stepped into big roles and it's made the last month this season really, really enjoyable," he added.

As the season comes to a close this week, the WooSox are still alive for a potential playoff spot. Tracy says despite this, player development remains the top priority for him and his staff.

"With a full roster like the mindset would always be development first and foremost," he said. "Getting these guys, the young kids, getting them at the top of the order, getting them [at bats], as many as we can at this level. But yes, with a sprinkle of our players, our staff, everybody is well aware of where we're at and we are going to try to win these games."
