WORCESTER, Mass. — Using an interpreter, Worcester Red Sox pitcher Melvin Adon described his time so far on the team.
"It feels good. It was a dream for him because he always wanted to play for the Boston Red Sox organization so it's like a dream," Adon's translator said on behalf of Adon.
In this week's segment of "Covering the Bases," Spectrum News 1's Kevin Shea sat down with the Dominican Republic native and discussed his time at Polar Park.
When asked who he looked up to while growing up in the DR, Adon said, "David Ortiz, no matter that he was a position player and he [Adon] is a pitcher. That was the player he always looked for."
