Ronald Dufault is gearing up for the Worcester Red Sox' inaugural season. He and his family stopped by the team store, which opened on Saturday.

“I have been living in Worcester 40 years. I’ve been waiting for Triple-A or Double-A or something to come. This is a dream come true," Dufault said.

Thomas Fallon took a trip to Polar Park to buy tickets. They also went on sale to the public this weekend.

"I love this city. My friends love this city. Come on, Worcester Red Sox," Fallon said.

Fallon said he’s ready to see a game in person after a tough year. Games will be limited to 25% capacity to start.

“Get to take in all the sights and sounds of the park and a real ball game," Fallon said.

Michela and Don Tufts took in the memories of a visiting a new ballpark, too.

“You're not really around for a lot of inaugural seasons for a stadium, so that’s cool," Tufts said.

Others visiting Polar Park said it’s helping revitalize the city.

"This is a really big and really exciting thing to have happen and have an attraction for the city, that’s dedicated to here," said visitor Mary Danielson.

"It’s really nice to be able to go see a game, you know we can drive 10 minutes and be at minor league stadium," Paul Danielson said.
