Richard Damas is a Multimedia Journalist in the Chicopee Bureau for Spectrum News 1 Worcester.

A native of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Richard Damas is no stranger to the area. Prior to starting at Spectrum, Richard interned at the local ABC affiliate, WCVB-TV in Boston, Massachusetts.

He also previously worked at the ABC affiliate WJLA-TV in Arlington, Virginia. In addition to affiliate experience, Richard explored his passion for sports as a part-time Video Production Assistant for Harvard Athletics, a Play-by-Play Announcer for Arlington High School, and a freelance sideline reporter for Boston Neighborhood Network. In addition to being a Boston sports fan, Richard’s favorite leagues to watch are the NFL and NBA.

Richard also runs a podcast and YouTube channel where he hosts guests ranging from professional athletes to musical artists, sharing details about their journey as creative entrepreneurs. When he’s not reporting or working on his podcast and YouTube channel, Richard loves diving into anime and manga, with classic series such as Dragon Ball and Naruto being some of his favorites.
