WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester Regional Transit Authority is considering nearly two dozen schedule changes, and it wants riders to weigh in.
The WRTA said complaints often have to do with buses running late, with only 61% arriving on time from July 2023 to June 2024.
The authority believes the changes will improve the reliability and on-time performance of the bus service.
Riders can participate in a series of meetings, the first is at the Worcester Senior Center on Jan. 7 at 2 p.m.
Other public meeting sites include the Boys and Girls Club of Worcester, the Worcester Public Library and the Worcester Housing Authority. A virtual meeting is also scheduled for Jan. 27 at 5 p.m.
A full list of proposed new schedules can be found on the WRTA website. The schedules are not final until they are voted on by the WRTA Advisory Board at its Feb. 20 meeting.
If you’re unable to attend a public meeting, comments can be sent directly to the WRTA via email at comments@therta.com.
