WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Academy boys basketball team is off to a 2-0 start. The Hilltoppers have a group of returners, some of who have been with the program for years. They have an infusion of new talent as well.

The players and coaches love the talent and depth, but what sticks out most is how close-knit the group is.

"Yeah the team this year is definitely very special," said guard Jake Blackburn. "We got a good group like really together this year. I've been a part of some really good teams and this one definitely stands out. We have a deep group. Like one to 10, everyone can play."

"I think this year we have a great group of guys," said guard Mike Ellerbrook. "Very close-knit that sticks out to me. We all have the same goal and that's winning and staying together, and I think that's a huge part of this team."

"Yeah, it's a great group of guys," said forward Dylan Cote. "Off the court, we're always hanging around [and] joking around. Which helps our chemistry on the court which will help us win games."
